We would like to invite you to the upcoming Visual Dialogues screening and Q&A organised by Screen Studies at Drama and the Granada Centre for Visual Anthropology. We will be screening the Italian documentary film On the Bride’s Side (2014).
We are hosting a screening of the collaborative documentary J.C. Abbey, Ghana's Puppeteer, by Anyaa Arts Kollektif. The film, screening for the first time in the UK, tells a musical history of independent Ghana through the characters carved in wood by master puppeteer J.C. Abbey.
Visual artist Louise K. Wilson will present her work on Wednesday 30 September 2015, from 5:30 to 7:30pm. The event, which will take place in the Roscoe Building room 2.5, is part of Visual Dialogues, a series organised by the Granada Centre for Visual Anthropology and the Centre for Screen Studies at the University of Manchester.
For the series Visual Dialogues, we are proud to host an evening on the Polish Festival of Animation O!PLA. We will screen a selection of animated films and talk to the organiser Piotr Kardas, who will be joining us online.
Documentary photographer Patrick Sutherland will be our guest for the Visual Dialogues seminar series on Tuesday 17 February 2015, from 6 to 8pm in University place 2.218.
We announce the screening of Phil Cox's award-winning documentary "Love Hotel" on Monday 10 November at 6pm. The director will be present for a Q and A session.
