Co-Creative MiND: Inner Lifeworlds of MND
Congratulations to Professor Andrew Irving (GCVA), Dr Michael Atkins (aka Cheddar Gorgeous, GCVA MAVA 2007, PhD 2015) and Professor Steve Pettifer (Computer Science) on their Wellcome Discovery Award, which will establish the world’s first ethnographic and participatory investigation into the interior lifeworlds of Motor Neurone Disease (MND).

Alumna comes “Home” to screen Queens of Syria
Granada Centre graduate Yasmin Fedda (MAVA, 2004) will be returning to Manchester on Wednesday, May the 4th, to screen her documentary Queens of Syria at Home, which will be followed by a Q&A with the director.
MAVA Alumni collaborate on ‘Chronicle of a Winter’
Two Granada Centre alumni, Spyros Gerousis and João Meirinhos (Both MAVA 2013) have recently been collaborating on a documentary set in the rural north of Portugal titled 'Crónica de um Inverno'. The film explores topics first laid out in a classic Jean Rouch film.

Our alumna Paloma Yáñez Serrano (MAVA, MPhil) has been featured in a recent edition of Italian magazine Cinéwomen, with a focus on her experimental documentary City|Play, which is available to watch on our website.
