We are hosting a screening of the collaborative documentary J.C. Abbey, Ghana’s Puppeteer, by Anyaa Arts Kollektif. The film, screening for the first time in the UK, tells a musical history of independent Ghana through the characters carved in wood by master puppeteer J.C. Abbey. Nii Noi Nortey, eclectic Ghanaian musician and one of the protagonists of the film will join us for a Q&A after the screening. Filmmaker Steven Feld will be connected online to answer your questions.
Part of the Visual Dialogues series, J.C. Abbey, Ghana’s Puppeteer will be screened in the Roscoe Building Theatre B from 17:30 on November the 11th 2015.
